Buying rare parts from an AFOL who is getting out of the hobby

 I know an AFOL who is getting out of the hobby, and going back into model trains.

He has been selling off all of his Lego, and I have purchased a fair few custom built locomotives, rolling stock, ships and minifigs from him.

My latest purchase was a lot of rare parts that are no longer in sets, and also hard to find in quantity from one seller on Bricklink.

I am always on the lookout for rare parts, and have quite a lot saved off in Bricklink wanted lists in case a seller I am buying from has even just 1 of them at a decent price.

Flowers in hard to find colours

Soccer balls, baskets balls, cabbages, barbed wire and light pink flowers. All rare and hard to find in quantity.

A container lifting kit.

A group of workshop staff with welding kits etc.

Small trees in light green, not the normal green.

And the ever elusive and hard to find in near new condition, Cypress Tree part number 3778.

Burger Restaurant

 I had an existing build of a burger restaurant that was fairly dull and boring, so I decided to convert it to SMILS, and also tart it up a little.

It was based on the Lego set 31050 - Corner Deli , but bigger and with an extra floor, and also a back to it.

The set also sat on a 16x16 plate, and I have this on a 32x32 SMILS base.

Although it won't be visible, I still decided to add the word "BURGERS" into the floor.

I added a fence, and some gardens around the sides, and also the punters enjoying a burger and a beverage!

I still need to add a 3D burger hanging from the 1st floor balcony.

I also decided to ad some tiles to the roof to make it not seem so bland
